Back in December, I published a post on here where I said that I was going to start publishing posts on here. That’s literally all it said. Here, I can even pull that up for you:
I’m going to start publishing posts on here.
Turns out, that’s the last substacking I’d do for, uh, until now. Why did this happen? Well, I’m the type to start things and immediately quit them. Part of this could be my ADHD and the fact that I get severely bored severely easily. In fact, the original idea for this whole thing was to try to write a thing a day which would be challenging exactly because of my ADHD and chronically being bored by my own ideas. I guess that makes it all the more funny that I wound up doing it exactly zero times, doesn’t it. It also plays well to my love of absurdism, which is, in a way, why I am back here again, eight and a half months later.
I wrote a book. A whole ass book. It is, wow, so absurd. It’s about me and three of my friends touring the country, playing rock and roll, and drinking beer. I hope to get this book published. To get this book published, I will need an agent. Agents like to see that there are people out there already reading your shit.
So I need some shit for people to read.
I’m thinking I’ll post short stories, or maybe little quips about my day. Maybe I’ll share opinions in attempts to start discussion. For today, I am going to share the tiniest of tiny blurbs from the book. Okay, here’s the blurb:
“It was a mostly cordial affair, as anyone who puked on someone else would apologize.” -blurb taken from Chapter 1 of C.M. Steven’s Steve’s Tour Journal.
The title is subject to change, but the absurdity isn’t.
Or maybe I’ll post cute cartoons or some other shit like that. Maybe I’ll actually wind up doing the thing I intended to do which had something to do with ADHD but at this point I forget.
Whatever I wind up doing, thanks for reading.
